Botox & Dermal Fillers
Botox
Botox is an FDA-approved anti-aging treatment that temporarily reduces the appearance of moderate to severe facial wrinkles such as "frown lines" between the eyebrows and "crow's feet" around your eyes. Botox temporarily relaxes your muscles and reduces their ability to contract making facial lines and wrinkles less noticeable.
You will notice a significant difference in the appearance of lines and wrinkles in the treated areas beginning 1-2 days after treatment. Results last up to 4 months and treatments can be repeated to maintain effect.
Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are gel-injections of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body, that reduce facial lines and wrinkles associated with aging by plumping and lifting the skin. They can be used to add volume while smoothing out wrinkles and are particularly effective in nasolabial folds and marionette lines (the grooves from the nose to the corners of the lips and from corners of the lips to the chin) and in adding volume to the lips.
Fillers can give your face a more youthful, natural-looking appearance without downtime.
Vein Conditions We Treat
Varicose veins, spider veins and chronic venous insufficiency are common and treatable conditions.
Varicose Veins
Varicose veins are bulging, enlarged, swollen or twisted veins that appear on the skin surface. They can be red to bluish-purple. They are typically found in the lower legs. Varicose veins affect 1 out of every 3 adults and can result in pain, itching, swelling, skin changes and more.
Spider Veins
Spider veins are thin, web-like veins that appear on the surface of the skin. They tend to be thin and can be flat or slightly raised. People tend to think of spider veins as purely cosmetic issues, however they are often a symptom of underlying venous insufficiency which is a result of poor circulation and blood flow to the legs.
Chronic Venous Insufficiency
Chronic venous insufficiency or venous reflux occurs when the valves in the veins of the leg no longer function properly making it difficult for blood to return to the heart from the legs. This can lead to pain, varicose veins, swelling or color changes. If left untreated venous insufficiency can lead to venous stasis ulcers.
Comprehensive Vein Treatment Services
At Dearborn Vein Center we employ the latest minimally invasive procedures to treat your vein conditions with minimal discomfort and faster recovery as compared with traditional methods.
Ultrasound Evaluation
We use ultrasound to evaluate the anatomy, size, and flow in the superficial veins of your legs which are responsible for causing varicose or spider veins. Ultrasound examination takes a few minutes and requires only the placement of gel on your skin. It allows us to determine which treatment options are best for you.
Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)
Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is a minimally invasive procedure that treats the underlying cause of varicose and spider veins and alleviates their associated symptoms. RFA is used to treat the superficial veins of the leg that return blood to the deeper veins. RFA is performed under ultrasound guidance allowing the physician to target the area of treatment safely and accurately. RFA is performed using local anesthesia in the comfort of our office, takes less than one hour to perform, and involves minimal recovery.
Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is the gold standard in vascular medicine for the treatment of spider veins and smaller varicose veins. The procedure takes only a few minutes to complete and involves minimal discomfort, however clearing all problem veins and achieving full cosmetic results might require multiple treatments.
